Hi y'all, I am Lela! I am married to a wonderful man named Billy and we currently live on his family property in a small town in North Central Florida. Between us, we have five kids and three grandkids. I am retired from a 30-year job with the State and not so recently hung up my camera from doing photography on the side.
The shutdown of our country back in 2020 really put a strain on everyone, and my family was no exception. We had a significant loss due to COVID, which is why we decided to continue with our plans to move back to my husband's family property and set up a home for ourselves and honor his beautiful late mom's wishes to have her son back home.
My hope is that you'll follow along our journey with me as I make a home in Live Oak as a first time SAHM in my 50's. I want to share my experiences of homeschooling, photography, cooking, and other amazing things that we get into as we slowly come out of our COVID COMA back into the real world.
